Teething: Can cause gum irritation and babies want to put pressure on the ridges of their mouth to get some comfort. Her palate must be low that it stimulates her gag reflex. A teething ring will help. Notice too that she drools a lot. Call her pediatrician about the frequency of gagging because of the untoward effect on the gastric lining.

Teething possibly: If she is putting her fingers in her mouth then most likely she is teething on her first baby molars and this will pass once the teeth finish eruption. If she is gagging without anything in her mouth this could be a sign of acid reflux and should be discussed with your pediatrician.
