Implants!: Implants take longer and cost more up front, but because there is no natural tooth structure involved, they cannot get cavities. This is not true for bridges. A cavity on any tooth supporting the bridge means you need a new bridge. So this means that over the remaining years of a 54 year old person, they will probably need to replace it at least once making it the more expensive choice!

Implants-worth cost!: If teeth #11 (upper left canine) and 14(upper left first molar) do not currently have crowns on them, why trim away good, sound tooth structure for a bridge? It makes no sense. Plus bridges are hard to clean so you will develop cavities requiring a replacement bridge. Implants need care and cleaning, otherwise you could lose them to gum disease. Discuss with dentist: If tooth 11 and 14 have no large restorations present implants would be your first choice the implants would prevent damaging good teeth. The fee for the implants would be more than the bridge but would probably last a longer period of time. Implants are also easier to keep clean as well.

Do involve more teet: Most important is that implant replacement does not involve additional teeth, it keeps the treatment where the problem is and not longer
