Missing molar aesthe: Depending on which molar and how many are missing! A wisdom tooth will usually not affected volume loss unless your on certain medications, but losing a molar can cause a chain reaction of other issues, ie; eruption or tipping of teeth near it that can cause issues later. If you are missing more than one or two teeth it can affect facial appearance and bone volume loss as well.

Missing tooth: Molars are key teeth in your mouth. They serve to bring food and that's where most of the chewing occurs. Losing a tooth in one jaw causes the tooth in the opposing jaw to over erupt and the neighboring teeth to drift. A replacement in the form of a "bridge" or an implant crown may be indicated to prevent any undesirable consequences. Consult with your dentist to determine the right treatment.

Post. Bite collapse: Loss of one tooth will not usually affect facial appearance. Danger is that opposing and adjacent teeth will tip, drift, and erupt into the extraction site, resulting in significant alignment, functional, and periodontal problems that are more extensive and expensive than just replacing one tooth. Talk to your Dentist about a space maintainer or "flipper" to temporarily help, preserve space.

Eventually, it may: Changes will occur gradually over time. This gives you plenty of time to save up to have that implant placed. Once changes occur, it will be very difficult to reverse them. Have you considered CareCredit financing?
