Not necessarily: There are many theories regarding the best time to exercise- before the first meal of the day, 1-2 hours after a meal, once more alert, after caffeine, etc. The bottom line is to find a time to work out with your schedule, both your body schedule and life schedule. Personally, i feel individuals get a better workout if they have some nutrients (carbs, protein) on board 1-3 hours before a workout.

Good for weight loss: For weight loss, it's good to exercise before breakfast as you'll better tap into your fat stores for energy. This caloric deficit will help you lose weight, and the early morning exercise will elevate your metabolism for the day.
