Only procedure: Only a procedure, be it a rhinoplasty or a minor injectable filler, will change the shape of your nose.

Clips do not work: There is an old novel called "little women" where the main character used a clothespin on her nose to make smaller. It did not work then. It will not work today. Surgery (rhinoplasty ) can change the shape. To some extent injectable fillers can to used to change the nasal shape. But has limited application.

Surgery is best: Inserts are sold to lift the nasal tip, and this may make the tip somewhat narrower. However, these are not recommended and can cause irritation and infection. Rhinoplasty is the only way to safely alter the appearance in a permanent way.

Nope: External clips have no long term effect. Only surgery, or perhaps filler injections, can change the shape of your nose permanently.

I think not!: I am unaware of any external device that will permanently shape a nose. Besides, wearing some device probably doesn't look very sexy. Newer techniques in rhinoplasty make this surgery more successful, minimally discomfortable, and with mild, fast resolving bruising, compared to older techniques. My patients always remark how surprisingly easy the entire process appeared to them,.

Rhinoplasty or clips: External devices cannot change the shape of the nose. Only surgery (or to a limited extent fillers) can. One of the founders of rhinoplasty, Jacques Joseph (a German plastic surgeon, despite his French-sounding name) even invented a clamp to hold the nasal bones together after rhinoplasty. All it did was create ulcers on the nose.

No, Yes.: Unfortunately clips or any other external device won't change the shape, only a surgical procedure such as rhinplasty will change the nose shape.

The best way: If you're looking to change the shape of your nose, you may be able to obtain some very minimal change with custom molds; however, to really direct the change in shape the way you want to, consultation with a skilled rhinoplasty surgeon is the best way to proceed. Nasal clips can apply pressure to the nose that causes unwanted scars or remodeling of cartilage. Be careful with fillers as well.
