Tummy tuck: Tummy tuck on the nhs? Need to meet criteria that allow the insurance to cover.See a plastic surgeon to determine.

Probably not: Although health care coverage is always changing, a cosmetic procedure like a tummy tuck is unlikely to be covered.

Maybe but....: I am not sure if you can but even if you can the question might be: "how good will that tummy tuck be?" surgeons who play the "insurance game" with cosmetic procedures often perform scaled down versions of those operations to their "non-cash" clients. Just be careful. http://psinteractive.net/abdom3.htm.

Usually no: Cosmetic abdominoplasty and liposuction are generally not available on the nhs so you will have to consult a plastic surgeon as a private patient and pay for the operation yourself. There are some exceptions to this rule. In some parts of england the local pct will allow consultations and operations for persons unhappy with the appearance of their abdomen in certain circumstances.

Problem with Not.: Insurance “companies” will not usually cover tummy tuck surgery unless there are unusual circumstances. Best to run this question by your plastic surgeon who has had the benefit of examining you. Best wishes.
