A member asked:

What does it mean if on hip xray the greater trochanter of the hip extends more out on one side over the other?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Asymmetric hip bone: Generally, nothing. Your body does not grow or develop with perfect symmetry. One arm may be longer than the other, one leg different from the other, etc. Most likely the difference in your trochanters is just normal variation.
