Not normally: Generally greater trochanter bursitis causes pain in this region and sometimes down the outside of the thigh.Groin pain is not characteristic of gt bursitis.If it persists get a thorough examination.

NO: Trochanteric bursitis only hurts on the outside of the hip. If you groin hurts it is usually arthritis in the hip joint itself.
