A member asked:

If i had scfe t age 14 and it wasnt corrected until i was 24 with hip resurfacing and greater trochanter osteotomy, how long for my hip muscles toheal?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

The cause of your --: Pain might be the muscle slow to heal, or the wires/cables used to fix osteotomy or from the resurfaced femoral head. So one needs to identify the cause first responsible for your symptoms. Other causes could be pain radiating from the back, or from local nerves irritated by scar tissue from your hip or the osteotomy surgery. Discuss with your surgeon to establish the DX or get a 2nd opinion.
