How do i get swelling above my eye to go down?

Ice & Time: For injuries causing mild to moderate swelling ice packs and time are the best way to get the swelling to go down. Place a thin towel between skin & ice pack to protect skin. Anti-inflammatory medications, like Ibuprofen or naproxen, can also be used by to decrease swelling. If the swelling is due to an allergic reaction, anti-histamines may also be beneficial.
