Gradually: If you have no more anxiety, you can cut down by half a pill every week untill you are off. If anxiety returns, you should discuss it with a physician.

Xanax (alprazolam): This is an issue to discuss with your prescribing doctor who will establish a gradual tapering regimen & monitor response and withdrawal.

As above: Although i agree with other physician's recommendation to discuss with u provider , usually it is recommended to tapper it down by 25percent every five days.
