I took 0.25mg of xanax (alprazolam) one to two times per week for 3 yrs. stopped it recently, now having panic attacks, i never had before. withdrawl? how long?

Probably not: This is probably not withdrawal, but could be the return of anxiety/panic symptoms. Please see your psychiatrist about this, and also consider individual psychotherapy to deal with anxiety/panic in non-pharmaceutical ways.
