Not enough info: It sounds like he is a little short stature, or low height, but there's a lot of things that can do that. There is a little discrepancy between the kidneys, but that can be normal too. It depends on what else is seen on ultrasound, renal function testing, and blood pressure measurements, plus a thorough endocrine workup to check height issues. Talk to your doc about this first.

See below: He definitely does not have renal dysplasia. For a 13 year old the length of both kidneys are below average, however if he is small, these sizes may be normal for him. We know that small individuals have smaller kidneys. As long as they function normally for him, the size does not have clinical significance. Also, he may hit his growth spurt later on and the kidneys may grow further at that time.K.
