Neck injury?: How long have you had the problem and what falls or accidents may have happened to you? Pain for 24 hours a day is not usual, ussually "chronic" and needs a specialist in spine care. Many people who have had lower back surgery discover afterwards that their neck hurts from the same injury that caused them to focus on their back before. Shooting pain: Usually, without treatment might progress. It is multiple neuralgic pain. A neurologist will identify the nerves and a pain doc will treated. Local infiltrations with local anesthetic and steroid will help, as well as some other oral pills.

June 20 experienced sharp shooting pain on R side of neck below the base of the head. Ear pain/severe headache. Felt neck pain earlier in the day.

So i was laying down on my right side and than when I moved for a second I felt/heard like a cracking sound. That similar to cracking your knuckles but this time in the back of the head (left side) around ear level above my neck?
