3.2 days.: The half-life of tamsulosin (flomax) is 15 hours, so in an average 70 kg individual will be completely out of the body in 75 hours. This time could increase if he has problems with his liver, or liver disease such as cirrhosis or hepatitis. Finally, he must avoid all grapefruit and grapefruit juice, since this can slow metabolism of the drug.
