My husband wants to quit flomax (tamsulosin) after adverse rxn does he have to taper off takes 0.4 mg bid?

Yes Taper.: Take one tablet starting now and ten wean to one every other day for 5 doses, then every 3 rd day for 5 doses and hen every 4 th day for 5 doses and then stop.

No tapering is neede: If he does need Flomax (tamsulosin) and is unable to tolerate it, he should look into alternative prostate procedures.

Flomax (tamsulosin): He should be able to simply stop it, however if he required 0.8mg daily for BPH symptoms, i would expect that his symptoms would be significant on no medication. He may want to discuss other options with his urologist before stopping.
