The range...: ...Of doses used is huge. Further, when dealing with an herbal product like this, the same milligram dosage in two different brands might have vastly different amounts of active ingredient. Dosage has been relatively standardized in some countries, but not here. Saw palmetto can be harmful in some conditions(bleeding disorders, liver problems etc.). Never take huge doses to "get in system fast.".

Saw pal and flomax (tamsulosin): These are two different medications and should not be replaced with each other. Recent studies have shown saw palmetto to be ineffective in treating prostate problems.
