A member asked:

Can you get an infection in your saliva glands from allergies?

Not likely: Infection in salivary glands is either viral or bacterial. The majority of infections in these glands are caused by obstructions in the gland, in kids, the mumps can cause the infection. Allergies should not cause infections in your salivary glands.

No evidence: There is no scientific evidence connectiong salivary gland infection and allergies. As stated in my answer to your previous question about claritin, (loratadine) antihistimines used to treat allergies may exacerbate your problem. Please seek medical attention promptly.
