No spot losing!: You can't spot lose fat. You have to lose fat over your entire body. Diet and exercise are the best way. Thyroid dysfunction can make it more difficult, but after correction, you'll still need to diet and exercise.

Depends on your BMI: If you are morbidly obese (bmi) greater than 40 and you have dieted your whole life the. Bariatric surgery should at least be discussed. To lose the "belly" fat specifically is nearly impossible. Your body loses fat proportionally everywhere at once so you can't specifically concentrate on your belly, although liposuction can help with the belly specifically. Consider seeing a plastic surgeon.
