Had an mri that showed a mild bulged disc at l4 l5 the wc doc said it wasnt enuf to cause my pain will a ct scan show more?

Not necessarily: Disc bulges are very common, even in people without pain. Ct scans are very good at showing bone abnormalities, but MRI is best for the soft tissues of the spine.

NO: Mri is really the difinitive exam for nearly all back pain issues. The reality of bulged discs is that they are very common and depending on location can cause significant pain even if they arent large. Size really isnt the most important indicator of weather or not the disc is the cause of your pain.
