A GYN cancer surgeon: Typically ovarian cancer is treated by a ob-gyn doctor who has had extra training in cancer surgery. The slang is gyn-onc. I did my general surgery training at iu in indianapolis many years ago. They should have doctors there who can help you thru their cancer center.

Ovarian cancer: Ovarian cancer is treated by a gynecologic oncologist. It is best treated by cytoreductive or staging surgery followed by chemotherapy in most cases.
