Mgt: Not all pleural masses are cancerous, but some maybe. This is one reason to use a VATS procedure to obtain a sample. Other causes include infections such as TB. Have you had a TB skin test? Sometimes after an infection, there can be an area of scar tissue. The CT can be uploaded to your virtual EMR during a virtual appointment for further details.
