Complex cyst: A complex ovarian cyst is a term used to differentiate it from the more common "simple" cyst. A complex cyst means there are liquid & solid components. While most complex cysts are benign this term is also used to describe cysts that need closer follow up as some will need surgical management. The decision to proceed with surgery will require an in depth review by your doctor
