1-2 pounds a week: Your intake should be reduced by approximately 500 -1000 calories a day so that you can safely lose 1-2 pounds a week. Exercise and be active most days of the week for at least 30 minutes a day, even if it is split up into three 10 minute intervals. This will increase your metabolism and help you lose weight as well.
