Go to emergency dept: You must have this looked at. It could be an infection or something else that is serious. If you don't have a doctor or clinic you can go to, then go to the emergency department at a local hospital.

Need to see a doctor: A swollen lymph node in the groin or lumps on the back are not necessarily serious as benign nodes are more common than malignant. However, if the enlarged nodes does not shrink after 4 to 6 weeks, you should see a physician as a biopsy may be needed. Lumps on the back are commonly sebaceous cysts or lipomas but should be removed if painful. Lack of insurance should not prevent your being seen!
