Liposuction is a very efficient way of neck rejuvenation. Through small incisions under the earlobes and the chin the fat is aspirated in a criss cross fashion. The instrument for the procedure is secondary to the talant and experience of the surgeon.

Neck Fat Removal: Neck or cervical liposuction is where we use a liposuction cannula through ports under the chin and/or behind the ears. This can be done alone or in combination with a facelift or necklift. Neck liposuction helps to sculpt the jawline and remove unwanted fat in the neck, jowls or under the chin.

Removal of fat: Removal of fat from the neck, chin, and jawline using a suction cannula inserted thru small openings made under the chin and below the earlobes. Safest when done under local tumescent anesthesia (more dangerous under general). Can be assisted by adding lasers or ultrasound to make the fat come out easier and tighten the skin (with lasers).

Microliposculpture: Submental liposuction (or microliposculpture) is a minimally invasive technique for removing excess deposits of fat under the chin. It can improve the look of a double chin, make the angle between your chin and neck more attractive, and define your jawline. It is not a neck lift, though, so it will not address extra loose skin, neck bands, or facial sagging.

Neck liposuction: Liposuction can be done for a neck with excess fat. Modern liposuction consts of placing tumescent solution in the area to be treated. This solution consists of lactated ringers or normal saline, reduces pain (using lidocaine) and reduces bruising/bleeding (using epinephrine). Cannula then are used to extract the solution and the fat. Compression garments are used to keep a good contour.
