Tylenol (acetaminophen) is better: Although Ibuprofen is a better choice for dental pain as it is anti-inflammatory, tylenol (acetaminophen) is what is usually recommended. As always ask your obgyn.

OB's like Tylenol (acetaminophen) . : Please call your obstetrician about what they would recommend for a painful toothache. Many times they prefer tylenol (acetaminophen) for pregnant women. Also know that you should make an appointment with your dentist to actually take care of the toothache. Dental infections are bad for both the baby & the mom. Take care...

Seek dental consult: Seek a dentist immediately. As you know, it is preferable to avoid any medication, if possible when pregnant (especially in the first trimester). The dentist should be able to resolve your toothache.

No: Tylenol (acetaminophen) is the safest drug to take during pregnancy for pain, if it is needed. Of course, it is best to ask your ob/gyn. But evern more important is to see your dentist to take care of the tooth that is giving you pain. If you are in the 2nd or 3rd trimester, your dentist will be able to treat your toothache. If he/she doesn't then see a dentist who does, because it is safe to do.
