I have a major toothache. i've been taking 600mg of ibuprofen for about a week? is it bad?

See your dentist: Prolonged use of Ibuprofen will damage you liver. A major toothache that persists for so long will not be solved with pain medication. Even if you make it through the acute pain phase, it usually leads to a sub acute phase that leads to further complications down the road. See your dentist to have the tooth treated.

Possibly...: The pain meds only prolong the inevitable... A trip to your dentist. If the tooth is hurting that much, then the cavity or fracture can be deep. The sooner you call for an appointment the sooner you will feel better.

See a dentist ASAP: You need to see a dentist asap. Taking meds for a toothache can contribute to upset stomach and only mask the source of your problem. If infection is present, you are risking additional medical issues.

Of course because: You need to see a dentist to determine the cause of the problem and then receive appropriate treatment. Basically, you are doing nothing for yourself and only run the risk of more pain and harm to your body.
