Packing: Wounds like this are typically treated with packing and healing by secondary intent. Oral antibiotics are often used but the wound must not be closed and be allowed to heal from inside to outside in this manner.

Depends: How long ago was the surgery and where is it located exactly. Is there healthy red beefy tissue, is there drainage, have you had similar problems in the past? Either saline gauze packing every day or possibly what is called a wound vac could be used. Hard to say without additional info and seeing the wound.
