An excellent test: An MRI scanner utilizes radio waves and a magnet to produce an image with sophisticated computers. No radiation is needed. Mris are outstanding at demonstrating various types of soft tissues. For example an MRI of the knee can differentiate the different types of cartilage that can tear. They're the best test for diagnosing brain, spine and joint abnormalities.
