Easy: Arthrogram means immaging of a joint with a contrast material injected into the joint. It coats all the surfaces so they are able to be well evaluated and also will show any leaks in the joint. A leak in shoulders are usualy rotator cuff tears. Thi injected contrast is gadolinium which does not have magnetic properties so allow no interference with the immaging.
