A member asked:

If you have a stab on the chest, how will your lungs be affected?

Collapsed lung: If the stab penetrates into the chest it may collapse the lung - a condition known as pneumothorax. Other stab related damage in the chest could include an injury to the heart, blood in the chest and damage to nerves that control the function of the diaphragm. These only occur if the stabwound penetrates deeper than skin and muscle.

Depends: Depends on location, and depth of penetration of the stab wound. The question is too unspecific to give a precise answer.
