Recently i have chest pain and i remembered that my parents told me that i had a hole in the heart syndrome when i was a child, is it affecting me now?

Unlikely the cause: Most infants with a hole at birth had it in the lower chambers and this closes by itself by a year of age. If you have chest pain at 17 years of age it is more likely due to other factors.Chest wall, swallowing tube and lung linings are far more likely origins at your age.A visit with your pcp can sort this out.

Did you have any: Surgery while a child? 0.5-1.0% of live births have congenital heart disease and affect 0.4% of adults. If you have no symptoms now like shortness of breathing or chest pain with activities you are probably ok. I will probably get an 2d echocardiogram for better assessment. Possibly you had patent ductus arteriosus or patent foramen ovale that did not required surgery.
