Nonspecific: More information about this symptom is needed. A physician would take a thorough history and system review, perform a physical examination and order appropriate tests in order to make a differential diagnosis and advise you. Some chest discomfort is not serious and some may be due to serious heart, lung or esophageal pathology. See an MD as needed.

Chest tightness: At 50 if you have a new onset of chest tightness in the middle of your chest I would recommend getting it checked out. Can be various causes, respiratory, GI (reflux possible), however, cardiac would be common. A visit with a provider and perhaps a stress test may be needed.
