I : I would recommend waiting for your braces to be removed prior to whitening your teeth. Whitening is very common after braces are taken off.

I : I agree. Even though you could whiten your teeth with braces on, the effects will be much more noticeable once the braces and glue are off your teeth. Ask your dentist to make you essex retainers, which can double as bleaching trays after your braces come off. Best of luck, dr. Zev kaufman.

If : If you have braces bonded to you teeth, then no you cannot. The teeth will bleach, but the part under the braces will not. When the braces are removed, you will have outlines of each the braces on your teeth....Not very esthetic! however, just hang on until you are finished, then you can discuss whitening with your dentist for the best procedure for you.

Not wise: The braces and bonding material will prevent the whitening material from bleaching the middle of the teeth where the braces are attached, leaving a dark circle when braces are removed. Best to have bleaching done after braces are off. Get separate bleaching trays from your retainers, as each has a slightly different function are space between tray/tooth is different.
