The : The urinalysis usually comes back in 1-2 days at most labs, and that should show if there are white blood cells, that would signify infection. Then the specimen is cultured, and that can take 3-5 days. You can call the office if it isn't back in those time periods and ask for the results.

Few days: A urine culture takes a few days 3-4 to return with results. If you are in a lot of pain your doctor could give you an antibiotic in the meantime.
