Complication: Fistula to the vagina from the bladder or elsewhere can be a complication of hysterectomy. If you have a vesicovaginal fistula should consult a urologist.

Couple issues: One of the risks of hysterectomy is vaginal fistulas. It can come from a surgical infection, but more commonly it occurs whens a stitch goes thru the bladder and vagina. Even during a partial hyst, the bladder is being dissected down and away from the lower uterus. If you had c sections, fistula risk is even higher. The same goes for heavy bleeding when dissecting the bladder flap.
