There : There really are no dietary restrictions with invisalign except that you can not eat with the trays in place. Furthermore, invisalign enables the patient to maintain to more easily clean their teeth and gums because the trays are removable. Also, invisalign is typically less uncomfortable than conventional braces because there are no wires or brackets to poke the gums and the trays move the teeth with less pressure.

With : With invisalign one cannot eat or drink anything other than water while the aligners are in. When the aligners are out for a meal, one can eat anything without any restriction. With braces, two kinds of food cause the braces to break loose from the teeth, and therefore are not allowed. These food are: crunchy foods and sticky foods. I hope this helps!

Depending : Depending upon the necessary treatment, in general i would personally advise you to choose invisalign or clearcorrect both use the same techniques, maintenance is easy, you continue your regular life as usual, you should be a little more careful to brush and floss after every meal, brush as well your trays before inserting them back after meals, every morning and before bedtime. Braces will difficult the maintenance of your teeth and gums, you need to avoid chewy food, you will not be able to enjoy to bite on an apple or any hard or crusty bites, and the most important flossing becomes almost impossible. I hope my advise has filled the necessary information needed to choose between braces and invisible trays for your orthodontic treatment. Good luck, !

Different: Clear aligners can be removed to eat and clean your teeth. Consequently, the restrictions for braces (avoid hard and sticky foods) are not the same for invisalign.

Less restrictions: With invisalign the aligners are removed when eating, so there are less restrictions to the diet and less risk of breakage. When the aligners are in place only water shoud be consumed. It is important to remove the aligners if sugar beverages are consumed.

Different: Braces require that you stay away from hard, sticky and chewy foods, but the braces work even while you are eating. Invisalign appliances have to be removed for meals or snacks, so no food restrictions, but they don't work unless they are in your mouth, and you spend more than an hour a day eating. Additionally clear trays have to be removed for sugary/acidic drinks, reducing their effectiveness.

No: Invisalign, as enticing as it it seems, will never be able to position the roots of the teeth in an ideal position if they begin out of place. That said, nothing with any carbohydrates or sugar should be consumed when the trays are in place. Eating requires the trays be removed. Once removed you can eat anything. Not so with braces. But, the trays need to be in 24 hrs. Except eating & brushing.
