Does the dad or the mom carry the height gene for a daughter?

Both contribute: The projected height of a female is the average of moms height+ dads height less 5 inches. Both contribute genetic material that influence the final height. Health, diet and activities also contribute to or detract from growth.

Estimate height in: Boy = (mother's ht + father's ht +5) divided by 2, girl=(mother's ht + father's ht -5) divided by 2. Or average the parents' height and add 2.5 for a boy, subtract 2.5 for a girl (Inches). Add or subtract 6.35 cm. from the average height for metric.
