Unlikely: With the most common chromosomal abnormality causing DS, you have no increased risk. In a much less common form ( unbalanced translocation), your baby's father has a chance of carrying it. I recommend finding out what the chromosomal abnormality was, and discuss it with your OB or a genetics specialist.

Ask questions: If the kid has trisomy 21 DS you are at no higher risk than anyone else your age.T21 comprises about 90% of cases.A rare translocation DS (2-3%) might be carried by your baby daddy, but only if he and his mom were "balanced carriers".You can ask if the kid is T21 and clear this up quick. If they don't know, the kid should be studied.
