PVC: Subjectively might help. Occasional pvcs need no treatment.

In Some: As a friend of mine says, there are only 4 problems with drugs: they cost a lot, you have to take them forever, they have side effects, and they don't work. It's tongue in cheek, of course, but often accurate. For pvcs, beta blockers are effective in 30-70% of patients (depending on the PVC type and study). They are generally more effective for atrial arrhythmias, but not near 100%.
