Had a ct abdominal & pelvic scan found a 7 mm lung spot on the lower left lung. radiologist wants a ct lung scan done ?

Lung nodule: Ct would better define the nodule. Old chest (if any) x-rays may also be reviewed to determine if the nodule is detected and if there has been an interval change in the nodule over time. Ultimately, consult with a lung specialist(pulmonologist) may be appropriate for additional work up.

Yes: It is valuable to scan the entire lung to see if you have one lung nodule or more and to determine if the lymph nodes are enlarged.
