How long does it take to evaluate ct scan of chest abdomen and pelvis and make a diagnosis?

Variable: The actual reading time for a ct depends on how complicated the findings are, but around 20-30 minutes. However, the imaging center may perform many many scans per day, so it may take a while before your study is read. Turn around time for a routine exam is usually a day or two. Again, this varies from one imaging center to the next. The report is then sent to the doctor that ordered the ct.
