History of asthma/smoker. shortness of breath. doc ordered ct scan of chest. scan showed some scarring and a spot 2.7 cm which radiologist said was likely scar but ?. must decide to wait and watch or biopsy. what to do? insurance runs out in 2 wks.

Smoking hx: With your history of smoking, there is a concern of malignancy. Evaluate multiple risk factors such as family history with your Pulmonologist. The radiologist has suggested that the appearance may be simply scar tissue.
