Mandibular tori: Can often be removed at the time of implant placement as / if needed. Depending on the design of the denture / bridge / hybrid and location and size of the tori, they may or may not need to be removed. Best to be evaluated by your dentist or prosthodontist for a work up to determine the appropriate prosthesis for your particular situation.

They can be removed: If you are going to have the type of denture that is implant retained but it is one you can remove, then the tori can be removed if they will interfere with the function of the denture. However if you are planning on having the type that is implant retained and implant supported (hybrid), one that you cannot remove then the tori probably would not have to be removed. The hybrid is better.

Comfort, retention: The implants will allow the design of the denture to avoid the tori. Also they will hold it in place much better, so there will be no rubbing on them . Good luck.

2 issues: Mandibular torri are extra bone and have nothing to do with implants but their presence may complicate any prosthesis that is made and they may have to be removed.
