Depends: In the general population of us adults over 40, about 1%. As your age your risk increases. If you have a family history or are in a high risk population group like african-americans, your risk is significantly increased.

Usualy Low: Glaucoma affects about 3% of the population, however, nearsightednes, race anf family history can increase your risk. A parent or grandparent diagnosed with the disease can increase your risk to 15-20%.
