PT: Pt helps improve flexibility, strength, proprioception, and provides encouragement to do physical activities that can result in weight loss and decreased pain.

Knee Arthritis: Pt for knee arthritis doesn't "cure" the arthritis or help the cartilage regrow. But it can be helpful in improving pain. A strong and flexible knee is better able to tolerate problems than it would be otherwise.
