Most information: And use of Ayurveda is mostly india and sri lanka. Main options for osteoarthritis ware diet, moderate exercise, avoid fried oily spicy foods. Apply medicated oils, guggul which is a herb, caster oil, root of caster plant, bark and roots of deodar tree, and other roots. The problem of Ayurveda medicine even in india is that 60% of therapies tested were high in lead, mercury and arsenic. Not good.

Not good.: If a child has an inflammatory knee condition, caused by jia, there are very effective treatments available with very high success rates, some used alone, and some in combinations. I would consider it child abuse not to see a rheumatologist or the hard to find, pediatric rheumatologist. Forget the herbs and spices! this not the 3rd world.

Alternative medicine: Ayurvedic medications that have been evaluated by the FDA for safety and purity would be used in conjunction with standard treatments for juvenile arthritis. The anti-inflammatory effects are small compared with medications such as ibuprofen.
