Is osteotomy used to treat arthritis? i have pretty bad arthritis in my knee. is osteotomy a possibility for treatment?

No-maybe last resort: If you have an inflammatory type of arthritis, then treatment with immune system-modifying medications such as weekly Methotrexate and a biological agent like enbrel, remicade, or Humira are highly effective.For osteoarthritis ("wear and tear" arthritis), nsaids like Celebrex (celecoxib) can be helpful.Ask your rheumatologist. You may benefit by evaluation by an ortho surgeon.Surgery should be the last resort.
