Teething pain: Frozen teething rings help numb the sore gums. Infant tylenol (acetaminophen) dosed according to infant's weight can also relieve discomfort. Topical baby orajel or similar benzocaine-containing products are advised against due to possibility of reducing oxygen in the bloodstream (methemoglobinemia).
